One of the most inspirational poem

If By Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Above poem was in my 12th standard text book. It has been the guiding light in the dark hours of my life and shall remain so. Forever...

The Rose Day Eve!!

Written by Jeet on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 9:38 AM

Today is no similar day like other ordinary days of the week. Reason? Simple. It’s Sunday!! Ohk. It is supposed to be the day that many of us use to do some week long postponed work like bringing vegetable from wholesale market, going to buy month quota of daily need items, cleaning the whole house and repair old computer ,TV or radio etc etc. Phew! I guess you too started counting that what other work also can be added to this rather short list. Leave it! Do something creative instead! Though, my day started as late as 9:30 am. I certainly guess it’s not too late. Is it? Being no different than others, I too had a week long pending work- bringing vegetables! I performed it dutifully.

I reckon that the Sundays should be wasted! Why So? Because week long, all working people do not want to waste time. Of course, this reason only seems plausible for postponing the work that we do on Sundays. Whatsoever, I truly waste my Sunday! As I love wasting at least a day of the week! Many government employees might not agree with me as they do this all the week! Sorry folks, I did not mean it for you! Nevertheless, I said I truly enjoy wasting my Sunday. Yes indeed, I played a cricket match and I was man of the match! Congratulate me if you too support opposite team! Yes, I just made 7 runs and was hit for 3 sixes and 1 four in an over and won the match for opposite team. By this time, it was 2:00 pm and I wasted my day well so far! With face hanging till my toes in the grief of losing match, I came back to home. To continue my determination to waste the day, I browsed internet and checked mails in fruitless hope to receive any cheering mail or friend whom I can chat with (as my lady love is not smiling on me today! Poor me), rejected a freelance project due to complex requirement, impossible deadline and low pay. Getting on with my mission, I picked up newspaper and read it for an hour. This was informative indeed but I am sure I was not looking for it. But newspaper can be good time waste too. Believe me, I have seen many people reading newspapers in their offices! Anyways, I found out in newspaper that its Rose Day today. Good issue to waste my time further successfully, isn’t it?
I picked up my phone and SMSed my girlfriend asking that why she did not wish me Rose Day. You should, in fact, know the reply, “ tumne bola kya!” In English it meant did you wish me. Oh great! I remember now that yesterday night I send her a cute and honey-dipped message wishing her Rose Day. Actually, by mistake I send it to her sister! When I realized this mistake, I corrected it promptly and forwarded it the message to my beautiful but angry (now a days) girl. Unfortunately, that did not reach her for reason God knows (certainly!). Having said all that, I tried to recollect the exact message and finally sent her a cute message again. She replied back, “You sent this message to my sister, How mean!”. Poor me! Still was not wished for the Rose Day. I SMSed her again asking to wish me too. This time, do you know what was the reply, ”nahi bolungi, jao”. Means I won’t wish, do what you can!! Aha! What a lovely reply! I loved it! :)

Now, I am writing this blog and carrying on with resolve to waste the day. A perfect tool to waste time! After all, that is why editorial section and blogs are so popular! Meanwhile, my mind and heart realized that how important the day is for any of us. These kinds of celebration days surely give us an opportunity to recollect our love and rekindle the interest in rather not so happening life. It’s so simple still so beautiful feeling to be loved and to love. Yesterday only, I heard in an old Hindi movie something like “It’s simple to be happy but it’s difficult to be simple!” Well Said! The simple concept of celebrating the days like rose day makes at least a day special in the present hectic life (for private sector of course!) that does not leave enough space, consciously or unconsciously, for us to be feel special and make the one you love feel special. I pray to God that simple concept can make home in minds of self proclaimed moral police like Shiv Sena or MNS. I was preaching! God! I need to learn to control my slippery tongue that might land me in trouble like Shahrukh Khan is, if this blog caught their eyes!

On this Rose Day eve, I am loving the feeling of being in love. On this day, I want to convey few lines to my Ladylove.”Hey, I really love you very much though the red rose bud, the symbol of love and purity, I am giving you has obviated the unnecessary noise of words with its sweet fragrance that symbolizes my love and dedication for you. I promise that this fragrance of love will last not only in this but beyond every life I shall live. I feel magically happy, content and most important, complete, when you are around. You have been my source of strength and at the same time weakness too. I might have not behaved properly many times but I swear not even a single time my love for you had diminished. My bond with your soul is getting stronger moment by moment. I cherish you as my best and most beautiful achievement of my all the lives that I have had lived ever before it. Happy Rose Day, Sweetheart!!”

By the way, my funda is all but wasting my Sunday! I do everything on Sundays that I am not able to do at daily basis like waking up when I want to, skipping exercise, playing cricket, sitting idly with my family and being chatter box, watching movie together, munching on hot samosas and sipping sweet- n- hot tea, reading editorial, business, gossip and astrology section avidly. All these activities make me feel happy. Still, do you need reason to believe that it’s simple to be happy? Well, I need because “I am happy being simple!”
Today is Sunday! The day I enjoy most! Today is Rose Day too! Double treat! Liking a Rose Day icing on the Sunday cake! I am loving it! Thanks for being there to make me feel special and making my day as well as life!!
Happy Rose Day, My Love!

Utter Shame!!!

Its time again and again! Announced with a shrill! Nothing.Again a inhuman act of breaching civilization! A girl was physically abused on the streets.Sounds pretty common. Huh?
Surely is. After all, the act of remain human is so difficult, is'nt it?
Does not that show that how low we can fall below the acceptable parameter of basic human values? A brazen act of most inhuman,uncivilized,unmoral and outrageous behavior. I just fills my heart and soul with disgust and shame.
Is this the basic fabric of civic value which has been weaved for the protection of civic values and civilization.What happens if this fabric is torn by few disgruntled idiots? Think over it. You have abundant time.
Nothing so complicated which can escape the little reflex of gray cells. Instead of getting civilized and more useful to society (vice versa is always true), we are getting backward historically. The word 'Historically' dates back to the part of the history from where the evolution of civilization has thought ,agreed and put into practice. Yes,right there!But this time coming back to civilization may not be possible at all. Why? We are more refined, dangerously intelligent and well equipped with sophisticated technology and scientific advancements. Advanced prehistoric human! Perhaps the most suitable word to define us.
Coming back to flagrant incident of inhuman act, lets think about the girl who undergone through this agony. She is devastated and frightened. Would she ever be able to put this fear away? Never. She will never be able to forget it. She will never feel safe again even in her own home, area, city or country. A frightened individual!
Isn't it outrageously shameful for all of us?

"Melt" - Dedicated To My Love of Life !_!

Written by Jeet on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 9:34 AM

Nobody has ever done this,
Possibly...nobody could have done this,
Unknowingly... But you have done ,
Unknown... Not only for you,
but for me too.
It happened,Just happened,
So slowly... That even I could not
hear the sound of,
Sound of something,
something... of steps,
Steps.. of the change,
That was making its way invading my heart,
Invasion...? Perhaps....
But a piece of stone can not be invaded.
Was it a dew-drop...?
A soft,gentle and innocent drop,
That has the power to melt
even the diamond,
Made my heart start melting,
And now where, there used to be stone,
There is left only liquid,
That flows through the way of eyes.

My Lonliness

Written by Jeet on at 8:28 AM

I thought of something..
Something that could never be realized,
I was such a fool that
I was running after mirage,
The thing that never exists,
A beatiful dream that was practically immposible
The result was quite obivious....
A long and dark silence ...
In already doomed life...
The impact was so harsh that
Tears seemed to dry up..
When they came ,did not cross the brim of eyes,
Kept poking the eyes from within...
Moreover they doesnt come alone...
Bring the loneliness along...
To increase the depth of pain.

Eve-Teasing By Adams: The Stigma And Mockery Of Civilization

Written by Jeet on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 3:10 AM

I really wonder at times that how people can be so insensitive towards umpteen ugly incidents taking place all over around us. How can we just turn our eyes aside and just wish inside that someday everything will be fine or expect that somebody else like government or NGO's or some private organization established for the purpose would take the responsibility to bring all these improprieties to an end and will come to the rescue. Or we just consider ourselves lucky that we are not the victim and move on until the day when same thing happens to us and that day we are dead furious over things happened to us and around us. Is everyone of us is waiting for that day to come? Yes or No? But the fact remains the same irrespective of your reply-YES!!!
The ball is in our court now.
One such outrageous incident is EVE-TEASING. Yes the unanimous incident that happens at every other second somewhere. For many of us (males), it's just bantering, mode of little entertainment or even fun. Just a timepass! A recreational activity! Some girl is just passing by and as common as 70% times you will hear the remark that might range between unbecoming appreciation to sexually abusive from the group of guys standing nearby corner tea-shop, bus-stand, outside theatre and many such public places. But, sadly, these remarks most of the time are sexually abusive than a harmless appreciation. We just become the mute witness of such indecencies and accept it thinking that its common or sometimes that don't even bother to see it or sometimes just feel easy that the girl was not my girlfriend, daughter, wife, sister or a friend .What a spectacular display of our narrow outlook towards humanity, equality and freedom of fairer (but sadly weaker) sex!!! Why people tend to forget that tomorrow there could be their girlfriend, daughter, wife, sister or a friend. Will they be the same mute witness to the usurious incident? I guess not.
Have you ever heard the perspective of these creatures who are the part of the crowd and are the frontrunners in passing the remarks? I believe everyone had. Lets hear'em up anyways:
>"It’s fun and good time pass, buddy!" (Oh Really!!)
>"After all, for whom they dress up and try to look beautiful so there should be someone to complement them!"(wow!)
>"What can I do? They dress up like this. They put on revealing clothes. They provoke us! They invite us. It’s their fault altogether."(unbelievable!!)
And similar agonizingly wonderful perspectives galore!
If it’s the time pass then why the hunting is banned. That is also a good recreation of similar type with only exception that at the receiving end are our friend, wife, sister or girlfriend. They are being hunted like animals. But its worst of its kind. The animals are not our beloved and closed ones but these our gender counterparts are our closed ones. Then why it’s so common scene on the roads and nukkads?
Who does not want to look good? Who does not want to be adored and appreciated for their looks and dress sense? Take a mirror and ask yourself, don’t you? If so then what's wrong if they dress up and try to look good. Oh did you just said they wear revealing clothes? Did i hear you correct Mr. ? Do you know that just now you have shattered the every possible argument of civilization, freedom and equality, above all, the humanity. All right, answer me. Do you feel the same when you see a little girl scantily dressed up? Do you ogle at her? I guess the reply is NO (perhaps some of them secretly say yes. For them I must say that they are no more fit to be the part of society and have become danger for the harmony and welfare of the civilized society. They should be treated as cannibals and ought to be dealt similarly as soon as possible.) Thus, for the part which said no, I believe they belong to the category that can be talked to and reasoned out. If you don’t ogle at a little scantily dressed girl then why ogle a scantily dressed girl. Don’t you think that there is something wrong with yourself instead of their dressing sense? Definitely, there is wrong with the mentality and attitude. It’s not their dress sense but it’s our crude and disgruntled attitude. This ought to be dealt with. How can we just put a question mark over someone's preference of clothing (until it goes beyond the acceptable level of propriety and decency).Or you can just because they are weaker sex and almost helpless in this male dominated society. Is that the freedom of living? Is that the idea of equality and freedom? We keep roaming here and there scantily dressed with like shorts and sleeveless but the girls can’t. They are considered as objects .That's really a miserably shameful outlook. They deserve the same respect and appreciation. They need the freedom from the fear of being harassed. Freedom-That’s their right. That’s every human being's right. But sadly ,our sexual counterparts are still deprived from their fundamental right.
In general, when the revealing clothes are mentioned, it is actually the synonym of western clothing. We males if wear westerns then it’s cool and if they wear; they are being indecently dressed up. They are being provocative. The indecency is not in their dressing code but indecent is our narrow attitude and conservative mentality. We are ready to accept and actually enjoying the western technology, arts, music, automobiles, games like cricket but when it comes to clothing particularly feminine then suddenly we start talking about prehistoric cultural way of dress code for girls. That's not done. That’s hypocrisy! Even if we talk about culture then culture is something that symbolizes current standard of living not the past. The culture is for harmonic social existence not for harassment. The change is imminent in culture as change is the only permanent thing in the universe. Therefore, our so called self-proclaimed moral police like “Ramsena”, “Shivsena”, “Bajrang Dal “ if stop excavating the long dead and buried and almost no modern significance past cultural values and instead try to fight the basic evils like eve-teasing which are really a stigma for civilized society, I guess they can actually contribute to the welfare of society and eventually culture that profess equality and harmonious co-existence for the every element of our society. Perhaps then they can get more votes even if they are after vote bank policy (everyone knows that).
It’s high time for every one of us to be consciously conscious to take a united step to curb this evil from our society if at all we want to give our beloved feminines a fair and fearless freedom to be the equal part of our society. This the era of equality and freedom for everyone. It’s time to get rid of all these evils. It’s the voice of time. It’s time to make a society which stands upon the equality, freedom and human values. Let them move freely even if it is dark and lonely road. Let them work any time in 24 hours without fear. Eventually, they can contribute better towards the advancement of the society, nation and, foremost, civilization.

Do we really "Think"?

Written by Jeet on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 12:50 AM

"Albert Einstein was a genius!!He was the greatest thinker of all the time!!" Hav'nt we heard this innumerable times and each time we're filled with awe and respect for the man,the greatest intellect of this era.Hats off to the man.But my point is not to adulate him(for that millions are there) but take away some of the credit perhaps.
Did i sound pernicious?God!! I am!!
I will profess that later on that how would i do that.Bear with me till that!
For quite some time(actually some years),a thought happened to me unusually numerous times and that had led me to believe something unusual but not unbelievable.Why that apple fell on the head of Newton?even if it fell,it might have fallen on many people before that.But the fact that made me curious that why only Newton thought about gravity?The falling off something was'nt so unusual phenomenon.For time immemorial,this seemingly mundane phenomenon must have occurred millions of time.So when one million one'th time it
fell on Newton,why only Newton happened to think about that.Were the last millions of people a dumb,fool or anything like that? On similar line of reasoning,every great revolutionary idea that shook the world to its core and transformed the way the generation
used to think has been the outcome of an instant,be it the concept of steam engine by James Watt,the concept of electric bulb by Edison and so many to name.Thus,the instant has changed the world.Time is most powerful manipulator.
Like a momentarily brilliant flash of light,the thought just occurred.The thought was'nt the outcome of a lengthy process.For a moment, it sounds weired.But yes,its like this only.Just try to think that how do we think?So many times when we try to find out the solution of our daily problems or to think about the gift to give to our b'day friend or try to solve complex math problem or to think that how we are going to play the next shot on the next ball in cricket,we appear to think and we get the idea that yes, this gonna be the way i am going to do it.This is the thought!Was it a step by step process?Was it like the assembly process of a car in manufacturing unit that is done step by step?No,it was'nt!Yeah,its not like that!Necessarily it was just a moment and the thought was in our head.And voila! we have the idea,the thought that we wanted to think about.Lets ask ourselves that did we really put any effort in thinking,for the thought that we wanted.No,not really,it was just the instant and the thought,the idea was in our head.
The food for thought.Is'nt it?
So what's the real matter?
I occurred to have got a possible explanation.Essentially,we just behave like a radio which when tuned to a frequency of particular radio station listens the corresponding program,in our case program synonymise thought.We human are just a mere radio.Mere object.When we
appear to think something,we are actually tuning ourselves to the radio station to recieve the radio signal.As soon as,we are tuned we get the idea and we claim the thought to be ours and astonish the world.Thus,the revolutionary idea is admired by the world and inspires the world.That was precisely the case with all the great thinkers.They merely tuned themselves and revolutionized the way world lived till the day.On the contrary,anybody else
did not and could not, perhaps, even able to revolutionize his own life.The next should be-perhaps the most interesting one-where is the radio station or(lets say it) "thought station"???The station that generates the thought and transmits to us.Perhaps the God!yeah!The God.Many of us have doubt on this entity named God.Lets discredit God and say that something is out somewhere which is continuously generating the thoughts of
all the types like various radio programs on different frequencies and transmitting it.We,the human,the users,the consumers,the recievers are tuned to different frequencies as per our nature(made by someone like God(a discredited entity)) and recieves the thought.
So someone jokes,why we are not Einstein or Mozart or Newton?The answer is simple-we never tuned ourselves to anything.We never actually concentrated ourselves on one frequency.Most of us always remain in interference zone means we always try to recieve signal from every station that resulted in nothing but noise.If u want to listen radio mirchi then tune the radio to the 94.8Mhtz(i guess).If u try to listen the radio mirchi and
FM simultaneously,you are listening to noise,is'nt it?
So all the great thinkers of any field were necessarily tuned to thought station and thus they clearly listened the thought.So once again hats off to the greats like Einstein,Newton and all of them who contributed to the humanity in any way!!
Lets tune,Lets concentrate,lets listen,lets be seekers than creakers.
Signing off,
Jeet-The Quest
