If By Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

The Rose Day Eve!!
Today is no similar day like other ordinary days of the week. Reason? Simple. It’s Sunday!! Ohk. It is supposed to be the day that many of us use to do some week long postponed work like bringing vegetable from wholesale market, going to buy month quota of daily need items, cleaning the whole house and repair old computer ,TV or radio etc etc. Phew! I guess you too started counting that what other work also can be added to this rather short list. Leave it! Do something creative instead! Though, my day started as late as 9:30 am. I certainly guess it’s not too late. Is it? Being no different than others, I too had a week long pending work- bringing vegetables! I performed it dutifully.
I reckon that the Sundays should be wasted! Why So? Because week long, all working people do not want to waste time. Of course, this reason only seems plausible for postponing the work that we do on Sundays. Whatsoever, I truly waste my Sunday! As I love wasting at least a day of the week! Many government employees might not agree with me as they do this all the week! Sorry folks, I did not mean it for you! Nevertheless, I said I truly enjoy wasting my Sunday. Yes indeed, I played a cricket match and I was man of the match! Congratulate me if you too support opposite team! Yes, I just made 7 runs and was hit for 3 sixes and 1 four in an over and won the match for opposite team. By this time, it was 2:00 pm and I wasted my day well so far! With face hanging till my toes in the grief of losing match, I came back to home. To continue my determination to waste the day, I browsed internet and checked mails in fruitless hope to receive any cheering mail or friend whom I can chat with (as my lady love is not smiling on me today! Poor me), rejected a freelance project due to complex requirement, impossible deadline and low pay. Getting on with my mission, I picked up newspaper and read it for an hour. This was informative indeed but I am sure I was not looking for it. But newspaper can be good time waste too. Believe me, I have seen many people reading newspapers in their offices! Anyways, I found out in newspaper that its Rose Day today. Good issue to waste my time further successfully, isn’t it?
I picked up my phone and SMSed my girlfriend asking that why she did not wish me Rose Day. You should, in fact, know the reply, “ tumne bola kya!” In English it meant did you wish me. Oh great! I remember now that yesterday night I send her a cute and honey-dipped message wishing her Rose Day. Actually, by mistake I send it to her sister! When I realized this mistake, I corrected it promptly and forwarded it the message to my beautiful but angry (now a days) girl. Unfortunately, that did not reach her for reason God knows (certainly!). Having said all that, I tried to recollect the exact message and finally sent her a cute message again. She replied back, “You sent this message to my sister, How mean!”. Poor me! Still was not wished for the Rose Day. I SMSed her again asking to wish me too. This time, do you know what was the reply, ”nahi bolungi, jao”. Means I won’t wish, do what you can!! Aha! What a lovely reply! I loved it! :)
Now, I am writing this blog and carrying on with resolve to waste the day. A perfect tool to waste time! After all, that is why editorial section and blogs are so popular! Meanwhile, my mind and heart realized that how important the day is for any of us. These kinds of celebration days surely give us an opportunity to recollect our love and rekindle the interest in rather not so happening life. It’s so simple still so beautiful feeling to be loved and to love. Yesterday only, I heard in an old Hindi movie something like “It’s simple to be happy but it’s difficult to be simple!” Well Said! The simple concept of celebrating the days like rose day makes at least a day special in the present hectic life (for private sector of course!) that does not leave enough space, consciously or unconsciously, for us to be feel special and make the one you love feel special. I pray to God that simple concept can make home in minds of self proclaimed moral police like Shiv Sena or MNS. I was preaching! God! I need to learn to control my slippery tongue that might land me in trouble like Shahrukh Khan is, if this blog caught their eyes!
On this Rose Day eve, I am loving the feeling of being in love. On this day, I want to convey few lines to my Ladylove.”Hey, I really love you very much though the red rose bud, the symbol of love and purity, I am giving you has obviated the unnecessary noise of words with its sweet fragrance that symbolizes my love and dedication for you. I promise that this fragrance of love will last not only in this but beyond every life I shall live. I feel magically happy, content and most important, complete, when you are around. You have been my source of strength and at the same time weakness too. I might have not behaved properly many times but I swear not even a single time my love for you had diminished. My bond with your soul is getting stronger moment by moment. I cherish you as my best and most beautiful achievement of my all the lives that I have had lived ever before it. Happy Rose Day, Sweetheart!!”
By the way, my funda is all but wasting my Sunday! I do everything on Sundays that I am not able to do at daily basis like waking up when I want to, skipping exercise, playing cricket, sitting idly with my family and being chatter box, watching movie together, munching on hot samosas and sipping sweet- n- hot tea, reading editorial, business, gossip and astrology section avidly. All these activities make me feel happy. Still, do you need reason to believe that it’s simple to be happy? Well, I need because “I am happy being simple!”
Today is Sunday! The day I enjoy most! Today is Rose Day too! Double treat! Liking a Rose Day icing on the Sunday cake! I am loving it! Thanks for being there to make me feel special and making my day as well as life!!
Happy Rose Day, My Love!

Utter Shame!!!
Its time again and again! Announced with a shrill! Nothing.Again a inhuman act of breaching civilization! A girl was physically abused on the streets.Sounds pretty common. Huh?
Surely is. After all, the act of remain human is so difficult, is'nt it?
Does not that show that how low we can fall below the acceptable parameter of basic human values? A brazen act of most inhuman,uncivilized,unmoral and outrageous behavior. I just fills my heart and soul with disgust and shame.
Is this the basic fabric of civic value which has been weaved for the protection of civic values and civilization.What happens if this fabric is torn by few disgruntled idiots? Think over it. You have abundant time.
Nothing so complicated which can escape the little reflex of gray cells. Instead of getting civilized and more useful to society (vice versa is always true), we are getting backward historically. The word 'Historically' dates back to the part of the history from where the evolution of civilization has thought ,agreed and put into practice. Yes,right there!But this time coming back to civilization may not be possible at all. Why? We are more refined, dangerously intelligent and well equipped with sophisticated technology and scientific advancements. Advanced prehistoric human! Perhaps the most suitable word to define us.
Coming back to flagrant incident of inhuman act, lets think about the girl who undergone through this agony. She is devastated and frightened. Would she ever be able to put this fear away? Never. She will never be able to forget it. She will never feel safe again even in her own home, area, city or country. A frightened individual!
Isn't it outrageously shameful for all of us?
